Better Together
Better Together serves a variety of roles as we seek to glorify God by restoring and empowering families. We believe that God created us for community, and no one is intended to do life in isolation (Ecc. 4:0-10). As a result, Better together provides groups for individuals in similar life stages, facing similar challenges, to come and receive support, accountability, referrals to appropriate established community resources, and a place to be renewed each week as they navigate the complexities of life together. We also believe that each person is created by God and has infinite worth (Psalm 139:13-14). Therefore, we believe that each individual who participates in Better Together has something to offer the group and ability to contribute to the lives of others. An example of a Better Together group is for young, single moms. This group will meet weekly while we provide childcare and a meal. This provides a space for both the women and their children to experience community, receive support, and contribute to the lives of those in the group. Better Together also provides opportunities for volunteers to join us in providing a community for these groups. If you are interested in helping provide transportation, a meal, or childcare during a group meeting, or other resources for these families please feel free to reach out to Nadia at director@icmfamily.org. If you are interested in learning more about the groups we offer and potentially participating, feel free to call our office or email Nadia at director@icmfamily.org.
